The White Coat Ceremony is a prestigious event welcoming our newest medical students to the Alan and Marlene Norton College of Medicine at Upstate Medical University. This ceremony includes a formal robing of students in white coats, the garb physicians have traditionally worn for over 100 years.
Each white coat is generously provided by the Medical Alumni Foundation’s Parent and Family Association (PFA) which raises funds from parents, relatives, alumni and friends. To learn more about the PFA and the gifts they provide to students each year of medical school, click here>>.
In conjunction with the ceremony, a class photo is taken. Please complete the form to receive a complimentary emailed copy of the White Coat Photo!
