Alumni Awards

Since 1966, the Medical Alumni Foundation has been paying tribute to outstanding individuals within their specialties. Presented at the annual Scholarship and Awards Ceremony held during Reunion Weekend, these recipients are honored and congratulated for their service and commitment, above and beyond their job duties. Nomination deadline for Reunion 2025: March 21, 2025 
All nominations received will be reviewed by the Reunion and Nominating Committee.  Awards are presented during Reunion Weekend.  Preference will be given to alumni in their Reunion year, however, we invite you to nominate all class years.

The Distinguished Alumna/us Award:
Established in 1966, this award recognizes the extraordinary achievements and outstanding service of individual alumni who graduated more than twenty years ago. Past candidates have been chosen for academic achievement, research initiatives, humanitarian efforts, outstanding service to their community, dedicated work for the Association/Foundation, distinguished teaching and/or outstanding work in industry and private practice.

Distinguished Form

 

The Outstanding Young Alumna/us Award:
Created in 1995, this award recognizes physicians doing great things earlier in their careers. Candidates must have graduated within the last twenty years and have demonstrated excellence in medical practice or research, service to the community, and/or commitment to the Medical Alumni Association/Foundation.

Young Form

 

The Humanitarian Award:
Created in 2009, this award recognizes alumni who exceed normal expectations in improving the lives of those in need through selfless, courageous, creative and compassionate acts without expectation of remuneration.
