Medical Alumni Writing Seminar

Workshop led by Dr. Deirdre Neilen from Upstate's Center for Bioethics and Humanities.  Discuss how creative writing can deepen the connections that link physicians, patients and caregivers, and provide them more control over suffering and illness.

Library Tours and Historical Exhibits

Upstate Health Sciences Library

Take a walk down memory lane and relive your medical school days.  Visit our historical exhibits.  Guided tours of the Library will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, though you are welcome to view exhibits and tour the Library anytime on Friday and Saturday.

Coastal Cosmetic Center Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Former Assistant Chief of Plastic Surgery and Director of Microsurgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center

Dr. Basile will talk about the history of military medicine and lessons from the global war on terrorism.  A question and answer session will follow the lecture.

All Class Dinner Party (Paid Event)

Reminisce with classmates and friends while enjoying food and drink.  Dinner will include a Tuscan Antipasto Display featuring New York State cheeses and artisan breads, as well as carving, pasta and seasonal salad stations.  Our ninth floor has spectacular views of downtown Syracuse.

Meet in Weiskotten Hall, Ninth Floor Swift Foyer

Opened in the summer of 2014, the 90,000 square foot Upstate Cancer Center features some of the most advanced cancer-fighting technology and comprehensive care available.  Tour clinical areas not available to the public during hours of operation along with gallery quality artwork from local artists.  From the Healing Garden to our state of the art technology the Upstate Cancer Center is a must see.

* Shuttle service will be available to the Sherwood Inn. To ride the shuttle, meet at 11:30 a.m. in front of the Upstate Cancer Center.
