Reunion Weekend: Sept 16 & 17, 2022
for classes ending in 2 & 7

This is our normal tentative Reunion Schedule for planning purposes. We will communicate finalized plans as soon as possible!

All Class Dinners are held on Saturday night with locations determined by the class dinner chair.

10:00 am to 7:00 pm
Check In and Registration
Weiskotten Hall, First Floor Lobby

Stop by and pick up your nametags prior to attending your first event.  Also, visit with our Executive Director, meet the staff, and learn more about the events occurring throughout the weekend.  Register Online *available in July.


10:30 am to 11:30 am
Medical Alumni Writing Seminar
Weiskotten Hall, Room 1164

Workshop led by Dr. Deirdre Neilen from Upstate's Center for Bioethics and Humanities.  Discuss how creative writing can deepen the connections that link physicians, patients and caregivers, and provide them more control over suffering and illness.


1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Library Tours and Historical Exhibits
Upstate Health Sciences Library

Take a walk down memory lane and relive your medical school days.  Visit our historical exhibits.  Guided tours of the Library will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, though you are welcome to view exhibits and tour the Library anytime on Friday and Saturday.

Weiskotten Lecture - Tanya Trippett, MD

Tanya Trippet MD
Tanya M. Trippett, MD, Duke University School of Medicine, NC. She is a Pediatric Oncologist practicing at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York City, NY.  Dr. Trippett will talk about the creation of a cancer healthcare ecosystem model for overcoming disparities in cancer care for children in emerging nations. Join us to celebrate our Distinguished Alumnus, Outstanding Young Alumnus and Humanitarian, as well as class awards and student scholarships.  Thank you to all who submitted nominations, contributed a class gift, and endowed a scholarship to assist with medical student tuition.  View our current and past alumni award winners


7:00 pm to 9:30 pm
All Class Dinner Party
Weiskotten Hall, Ninth Floor

Reminisce with classmates and friends while enjoying food and drink.  Dinner will include a Tuscan Antipasto Display featuring New York State cheeses and artisan breads, as well as carving, pasta and seasonal salad stations.  Our ninth floor has spectacular views of downtown Syracuse.

Built as a stagecoach stop in 1807, the Sherwood Inn is located in the historic village of Skaneateles, known as the "Eastern Gateway to the Finger Lakes" and is considered one of the most beautiful and cleanest bodies of water in the world.  Join us for a luncheon overlooking the beautiful lake and then venture out to explore this historic village filled with unique shops and wineries, or schedule a boat tour to view the magnificent homes surrounding the lake.
